The Arthur L. Irving Institute for Energy and Society Faculty Seminar Series invites climate and energy researchers, including faculty, postdocs, and staff from across the disciplines to share their current work with colleagues. This lunchtime series seeks to facilitate interdisciplinary connections and collaborations on some of the most critical topics and challenges facing our world today.

Join us for the opening talk of this year's Faculty Seminar Series, presented in partnership with the Dartmouth Climate Collaborative!

Speaker: Kate Maher, Professor of Earth System Science at Stanford University and Senior Fellow at the Woods Institute for the Environment. Professor Maher's research examines the carbon cycle through multiple lenses, from the history of atmospheric carbon dioxide and its impact on the evolution of life to strategies for sequestering carbon today.
Special guest: Dr. Ansley Booker, Executive Director of Dartmouth NEXT, will join to share more about the university-wide initiative that is expanding opportunities for students in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.
